It’s been a weird year.
Let’s face it: The last few years have been like a never ending bin fire of Nonsense.
But in amongst it all, there has – as always – been one constant: The power of books to transport me, to comfort me, to inspire, enervate and help me make sense of (and, if need be, escape from) the world around me.
I felt a bit of a fraud this year cos some people seem to read dozens of books a month, but above are some of the books I’ve truly enjoyed.
I hope – however you’re celebrating the end of year – that you get lots of great books, read lots of brilliant stories and that 2020 is less bin-fire and more best bookstore ever,
Have a good ‘un
